About My Fleet

My Fleet is an internet-based cloud service, which allows Kemppi customers to register their devices for extended warranty. For X8 MIG Welder owners it also provides information about their X8 MIG Welder devices.

Registering warranty

Proceed as follows:

1. Navigate to WARRANTY REGISTRATIONS page (menu in the upper left corner).
2. Click Register New Device in the upper right corner.
A pop-up window opens.
3. Enter the serial number and the security code of the power source.
They can be found on the rating plate or packaging label of the device. What is security code?

Connect devices to My Fleet

Proceed as follows:

1. Navigate to CONNECTIVITY DEVICES page (menu in the upper left corner).
2. Click Add welding system in the upper right corner.
A pop-up window opens.
3. Fill in the power source serial number and security code.
Find the serial number and the security code on the rating plate of the power source. What is security code?

Note:

If your company has several accounts, or you are not able to add your welding system to the My Fleet service, contact Kemppi support through kemppi.com or softwaresupport@kemppi.com.

Note:

When adding the welding system to the My Fleet list, the device is attached to your company account also in other available Kemppi cloud services, such as WeldEye. The aftersales, warranty procedures and services are not included in the registration, but some customer service activities are faster, if you keep your My Fleet list updated.

Disconnect your device

Proceed as follows:

1. Click the box at the end of the device name row to tick it.
2. Click Delete on the upper right corner.
You can re-register the device, if needed.

Note:

If you sell your welding device as a second hand product, remove it from your My Fleet list first.

Downloading manufacturer’s validation certificate for X8 Power Source and X8 Wire Feeder

My Fleet provides first year manufacture’s factory validation certificate according to EN 50504 Validation of arc welding equipment for X8 Power Source and X8 Wire Feeder.

Proceed as follows:

1. Click the serial number of the device at the beginning of the row
Device information cards opens.
2. Click “Certificate” at the POWER SOURCE -card.
Validation certificates opens as a new tab of the browser. Download or print the document.

Note:

if your X8 power source has never been connected to the internet, the information of the Wire Feeder is missing. Please use the Search field at the bottom of the main page to browse the certification.

Device Information

Click the serial number of the device at the beginning of the row in order to open the Device information cards. Cards present the latest system configuration when last updated. If X8 MIG Welder is never connected to the internet or never updated by Maintenance mobile application, then the device information cards present the original factory settings.

Welding Calendar

Each row presents the information of one X8 MIG Welder system. If the device is or has been connected to the internet, the Welding Calendar presents the usage of the device. By clicking the small calendar icon, the large view is opened. “Reset” sets the view to this date. The time zone is set from the User settings.

X8 MIG Welder can storage small amount of welding information and the counter information (power on time and total welding time presented in device cards) and transfer it later for the My Fleet service, but in order to get the valid data it is recommended to keep the X8 MIG Welder device connected to the internet.

Name and Notes

Name and Notes are free text fields. All user in the same organization can see these same fields. Devices can be sorted by the Name.
